The Sands Fam

This morning I did a lighning-fast shoot with the Sands family.  Birthday-boy Brian was teetering on nap-time, so I was trying to work as quickly as possible.  It is hard to believe that a whole year has passed since we did his newborn shoot…he has grown into such a sweet, handome guy…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jacqui had these outfits made for he and Kylie since Brian is all about balls and such.  (In case you’re wondering where these ADORABLE outfits came from, they are homemade by Carol Branson at Sew Adorable Designs.  Very reasonably priced and very well made…sure to be an heirloom!  I checked out her website, and there are a ton of sweet things.)

Holly’s Hot Belly

This was my first time working with Holly, and boy did I have a blast!  (I hope she did, too…)  What Holly may have thought of as an eyesore in her neighbor’s yard was a dream to me…dilapidated fence, overgrown vines…holy cow!  What more could I ask for?  And a little texture on top (kinda like a cherry…):

Luke’s 2nd Birthday

Yesterday, I shot my first birthday party.  It was Luke’s second birthday, and he was surrounded by tons of friends and family, and I was there to catch all the excitement.  I got there a little early and got some family shots and some details…I found this book in Luke’s closet:

Welcome, Kayla!

Last week I had the priveledge of photographing Reggie & Nikita’s new baby, Miss Kayla.  She came a little ealrier than expected, but she is the sweetest little peanut!  She was very tired, and slept thru pretty much my whole visit.

The Ricker Kids

Sorry I am so behind on blogging this week…I’ve got a bit of a head cold working on me, and its throwing me off. 

Anyhoo, I travelled out to Sykesville country on Monday to meet the Ricker family.  These 4 kiddos were a bundle of energy.  Little Dani was born back in December, so this is thier first photo as a foursome:

Charleston Weekend

Rusty & I visited Charleston, SC with our friends, the Girtons, this weekend.  What a beautiful city!  It is the second largest historically preserved city in the world…second to Rome.  Can you believe that?  I could have walked around and looked at the beautiful homes and landscaping for days.  Here is a shot of Rusty and I at the Russell House:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charleston is a peninsula, so at certain points in the city, you can look forward, right and left and see the water.  It was weird to look down three different streets and be able to see so far…

The Masone Family

My third and final stop Saturday was at the Masone’s.  Miss Madelyn was sick earlier in the week, and had shots on Friday to boot, so given all that, she performed beautifully.  She is such a cutie with an endless supply of smiles.  Here is the whole gang (little brother is due to arrive next month):

The Morse’s

Amy is my original ‘fotoholic’, and I am so thankful to her for sharing me with so many of her friends.  But Saturday was a busy day at her house…her sister was in town from New York with her son, Jeremy was due for his two-month photo, and then we wanted to get all five of these kiddos together.  And I think we did pretty darn well.

Tom & Janet

This past Saturday was a busy shooting day for me, and it all started with Tom and Janet’s enagagment session.  These two are getting married in seven short weeks at the Elkridge Furnace Inn.  This is my first wedding there, and I simply can’t wait!  As soon as I got in the car and headed out to meet these guys, rain started sprinkling on my windshield, and I started getting nervous.  But it held out, and (compared to today) it wasn’t too cold.  The cloudy sky made for some great soft light…here are a few of my personal faves:

Chaz & Ryan

I have been so glad to have made so many new friends so far this year…and Chaz and Ryan are making my list even longer.  Chaz became a big brother two weeks ago, so mom, Kathy, had me out to capture the moment.
