Mia is the cousin of Elliott (whose 6 month pics are below). Thier moms are sisters, and these two were born 13 days apart. How cool is that? So Mia showed of her sitting up skills, and was very giggly…well, for a littel while anyway.

Nothing pleases me more than making new friends, and meeting this fam was no exception. Isabella greeted me with a huge smile and wanted to show me all her cool stuff. Braxton wasn’t quite as sure about me, but once he saw Isabella thought I was cool, he warmed up quickly, too. Here she is playing a little peek-a-boo to warm him up:
Before long, the giggles started flowing and we moved the party to Isabella’s room. And it isn’t everyday that you’re allowed to play in the top bunk, but it was working for us:

One of my favorite Christmas presents is usually in my stocking in the form of tickets to Rams Head to see the Smithereens play. Last year, there was no show. The year before, there was no bass player due to an unfortunate arrest on his way to Annapolis from Jerssey. But this year, FINALLY, they were back. All four of them, in full force. They played everything we wanted to hear, and stuff we have never heard them play that we have always wanted to hear…it was AWESOME!
My pictures aren’t as awesome, though. But whatever.

More proof that time is going by too quickly…Gaius has turned one! His family and friends gathered in Annapolis to celebrate…here is the birthday boy with Mom & Dad:

There has been a monkey-theme in the Holmes home since the begninning, so it was only fitting to find it everywhere at this party. And the taste factor of the cake was equal to the cute factor.

Elliott, the youngest member of this family, hit his 6-month milestone last month, so a photo session was in order. He is sitting up on his own, scooching around on his belly…all kinds of fun stuff! Here is the fam early on a Saturday morning:

I’m going to back track to my last wedding of 2008…Joe & Wendy. I had forgotten how beautiful their photos were! It was a rainy Saturday (which no bride wants to wake up to), but with an afternoon wedding, the sky had a chance to do a little clearing. The ceremony was on the shore in Easton, and I grabbed these first two post-ceremony:

Then we headed back to Annie’s for a yummy dinner and reception, where we were greeted by the most delicious light a photographer could ask for. Check it:

Another baby! I told you…this is what happens in January!
The Huber-Hall family has been using me for the past three years, and I was thrilled to be the first to photograph their newest addition, Julia (who was named by big sister, Morgan). Who loves her sister??
Morgan is so sweet with her…she gave Julia her bottle, and just couldn’t keep her lips off of her. She held her hand so gently…

It is always fun meeting new people, especially when the great people I already know send their good friends my way. Such was the case with Danean and her new daughter, Aivry, who were sent by another client, Luchana. These two were all dolled up for their first photo shoot together, and we got so many sweet shots of them together.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That is what my Grandmom always says. Well, I have been headed down that road, full steam ahead, for the past three months, and today, I am coming to a screeching halt. I promised to back-blog all of the stuff I did in October & November, but that task has become a black cloud over me, and I think I just need to make a clean break from that, and start anew. So here goes!
As most years in the past, January & February are brimming with birthdays, bellies and babies. 2009 started with the Shaeffer twins celebrating thier first birthdays. Here are Charlie & George wearing the same t’s they wore in their newborn shots (you can refresh your memory here):
