We Nixed New York

We were supposed to go to NY this past weekend, but it was just too cold.  So we decided to stay home and had a nice, relaxing weekend at home.

Rusty & I went out to dinner on Friday to Indigma (used to be Saffron of Charles Street).  It was absolutely yummy and when the bill came, it was much less than you would expect to pay for such good food in such a nice atmosphere.  If you are a fan of Indian food, it is a must.  And if you aren’t, you should try it anyway.  There is really something for everyone, and it is way too tasty to miss.

Then Saturday night we headed out for sushi with the Lancasters. We headed to Cafe Sado in Chester (205 Tackle Circle, 21619 if you want to find it…no website yet), and it was awesome.  This was my second time here, and the atmosphere is top notch, as is the sushi.  The owner used to own Kyoto in Severna Park (one of the first teppenyaki places back in the early 90’s) and he’s upped his game here at Sado.  Definitley big city sushi out in the country.  🙂

Then, being in the country, we stopped at a local watering hole called No Place.  A Steelers/Nascar bar with superb bowling alley pizza and Corona Lights to wash it down.  Not to mention pool tables, shuffle board, and a kick-butt online juke box that was belting out 80s new wave (much to the chagrin of the other patrons, I think).  But we had a good time, and there’s nothing like a good competition to keep the boys occupied. Here is Kent & Rusty playing the (did I mention free) shuffleboard:
