The Marx Family

It has been a year since I saw Olivia, and she she is now turning five and excited about starting kindergarten!  She has grown up so much, but she is sweet and pretty as ever!  Look at this girlie:

Mommy & Daddy got in on the action this time…

What a good looking group!

We met at Benjamin Banneker Park for our shoot…it was so nice!  I didn’t even know what Benjamin Banneker did!  Sometimes I am embarassed to live in such a history-rich part of the country and know so little about things that happened here.  If you’re interested, read a little about him here.  Don’t say I never taught you anything…

Anyway…it was a great spot to learn some local history, and take pictures!

And we ended with this fun shot:

Olivia…you are an AWESOME jumper!  You should think about cheerleading!  😉

The Pope Family

Four more new friends today…the Pope family!  It was pretty wet out, and the mosquitoes were ready for breakfast, but we smiled thru and got some great photos:

Here are the kiddos together:

Jacob was a ham and a half…not to mention handsome…

Hannah gave me a run for my money, but I think we got some sweet smiles from her:

I’m so glad that we got to take advantage of today’s sunshine instead of yesterday’s clouds.  Thanks for being flexible!  And thanks to Lee, Stephanie & Allison for pimping me to your friends!

The Reid Family

I feel like I am meeting so many new people lately…and they have all been awesome.  My job is the BEST!  And this group is no exception.  Gavin is turning one, so I was called to capture this most important milestone.  Here is the whole group together:

Gavin is enamoured with big brother, John…as you can see here:

Gavin isn’t walking yet, but it won’t be long!  And he has no problem standing and laughing at the same time:

Here is the birthday boy getting a big push from the fam:

Then we went inside for what we thought (hoped) would be a big, messy, cute cake-eating session, but somebody wasn’t too sure about the whole thing, and just wanted his hands clean again:

It was so super hanging out with you guys!  And thanks for welcoming Graham in and setting him up on the Wii…he had a great time!

Parker is ONE!

I haven’t seen Parker since before Christmas, and he has been doing a lot of growing since then!  He looks so grown up…not much baby left here!  He is on the brink of walking and is knee-deep in cuteness.  Look at those peepers:

And I love this one…Mommy was running around like a nut getting smiles and he decided to try and catch her:

Then Parker’s cousin’s popped over to try and get a group shot for Grandma’s birthday next week…here are the four of them together:

Thank you all so much!  It was great to see you all again!

The Wilburn’s

After seeing photos of Gaius, Katie decided to call and set up a session for her own kids.  Ryan and Lacey seemed at first to have better things to do on this summer day, but they warmed up, and we got some really great stuff.

Here is mom & the kidd-os:

We had to make these super-fun, so Daddy would want to be in on it next time (hint! hint!).

I love this shot of the kids together…I did NOT ask Lacey to do this…she just loves her big brother:

These two were naturals:

Nothing better than getting to know new families and the things they like and what makes them laugh.  In this case, it is “My Name is Earl”, and here are the kids ‘Earlin’ It”:

Love it…

So thanks again to Stacy for the hook-up…it was great meeting you guys!

Bryan & DeNeisha’s E Session

These two will be tying the knot in September, so we headed to Down’s Park on Wednesday to take some engagement photos.  They warmed up to the camera pretty quickly, and never seemed to be at a loss for smiles…

And sometimes they even wanted to make me smile…

But they are so sweet together…

More smiles…

I can’t wait for the wedding!  If the party is anything like Bryan’s cousin, Jessica, whose wedding I shot a couple years ago, it is not to be missed!  A VERY fun group…

The Fabulous Baker Boys

Almost three months have passed since I saw these guys, and it is time for them to be baptized.  So I went over to capture them in their special outfits.  Are they handsome or what?!

Mommy also wanted to have a photo with each of her boys.  Here she is with a very sleepy Aidan:

And with Nicholas:

And here they are in different outfits.  Isn’t it just too sweet the way Aidan is snuggled in on Nicholas?  And he doesn’t seem to mind a bit:

And a quick shout-out to Matthew and Emily who sat by quietly when we needed them to, and who jumped to attention to help coax smiles when we needed them to.  You guys are so great!

The Finch Family

Nothing makes me feel better than good friends who trust me to take their family photos.  And I have known Chad & Anna since Rusty & I started dating back in 1989 (holy cow…), so I was happy to oblige!  Since 1989, Chad and Anna got married, and have gone on to have four adorable kids, and are overdue for an updated family photo.  We had the gang over for dinner on Monday, and then headed out Tuesday morning for a photo shoot in Piney Orchard.   And everyone did great!

Here is the whole group:

Just the guys:

Just the girls:

And just the kids:

It was almost too easy!

Thanks again for thinking of me…it was great seeing you guys!  Hopefully it won’t be so long between visits next time!
