We’re headed down’e oweshun, hon!

I will be out of the office (aka my family room) until Monday the 17th.  I’ll be returning calls & emails then, and any orders placed this week won’t be filled until next.  Hang in there with me while we soak up a little more summer before school starts again.

I’ll miss you terribly… 🙂

Baysox Game

Thursday night was the annual KunkelCustomer Appreciation Night at Baysox Stadium.  Kunkel supplies parts and equipment to Rusty’s business, so once a year, they thank him with a night out with the fam and other shop owners.  We always have a good time, but this year was the best yet.  (For those of you who don’t know, the Baysox are the AA division team for the Orioles, and they know how to put on a ball game. It is almost a guarantee that the boys will come home from any game with a ball or free tshirt.)  When we arrived, it was Orioles appreciation night, so both boys got an Orioles tshirt in the way in.  Then, once we got in, we all got a bobblehead in the likeness of Adam Lowen, a former Baysox player who made it to the show a couple years ago.  He is on the DL for a shoulder injury, so we signed a big get well card for him.  Next to the big card was what appeared to be a replica of the World Series trophy, so we went to get a gander, and I’ll be darned…IT WAS THE REAL THING!  -sidenote- I can remember as a kid, the Orioles losing the pennant in 1982, and Hutzler’s department store had already begun selling tshirts that said ‘American League Champions” before the game was won.  And after we lost, you could go back and buy the tshirts that had been reprinted with ‘almost’ on the back.  🙂  Anyway, we beat the Phillies in 1983, and here is the Owens family with the trophy:

I thought it was pretty cool!  And you can see how excited Trent is, can’t you?

As part of the party, the kids got wristbands to ride all the rides and play games all night while Daddy talked motor oil and other grease monkey stuff with the other guys.  Here they are on the carousel:

And what Orioles night would be complete without the Bird?!?  Graham wanted his picture taken with him something terrible, so he was so excited to see him come up to the skybox where our party was:

What a great night!

Barbara & Will Tie the Knot!

It was probably the most beautiful, cool, no-humidity day this August has seen.  And it was to be the backdrop for Barb & Will’s big day.  The planned a very intimate affair in their waterfront yard, and the scene was just lovely:

Here is the happy couple:

And this is during their first dance, which was to the song “Grow Old With You”.  You may remember Adam Sandler singing this to Drew Barrymore at the end of the Wedding Singer?  What a great choice:

And here is the newly expanded family:

Congrats to all of you!  What a perfect day!

Happy Birthday, Trent!

I haven’t met too many Trent’s, but it is always fun to meet kids with the same name as mine.  And this Trent was as sweet as can be, but it was a little weird yelling that name trying to get another kid’s attention.  🙂  Wednesday was Trent’s first birthday, and what an honor that he spent part of it with me!  He was in a great mood, as everyone should be on thier birthday:

He and Daddy are big Ravens fans (as you can tell by the attire):

Nothing like that juicy evening light to add to the fun:

Once we headed to the beach, he lost all interest in me and in smiling.  He was way too busy exploring and eating sand to bother with picture taking anymore.  But I thought this one was cute:

It was so great to meet you guys!  One more added to the list of new friends!  Happy Birthday, Trent!

The Dove Family

I have been meeting so many new people lately, and Wednesday, I added the Dove family to my list of new friends.  I headed down to thier place in Arnold for some fun family photos.  Here are mom and dad loving on Cooper:

They call him by his full name, Cooper Dove, and it sounds so sweet.  He is a busy little guy, but loves his toys, and loves to laugh…

Here he is horsing around with Daddy:

We headed down to the community pier and got this nice shot of the whole family, including pups Macey & Barkley:

It was so great meeting you guys!  Thanks for braving the heat with me…

The Becker’s

It was an early start Wednesday when I met the Becker’s at the park for an 8am shoot.  (Those of you who know me kno whow brutally painful that must have been…)  🙂  So we found our spot and I started getting everyone into place, when 18 month old Isabella decided she wasn’t really in the mood for all of this hoopla.  She stuck to her guns throughout the whole shoot, be we manged to get her laughing somehow with a hairbrush and got this series of shots…I am picturing these hung in Megan’s family room…three canvases right in a row in this order…

Love them!
