Cody & Kristen’s E-Session

After what felt like a month of rain, mud, and bad hair, the sun came out and smiled on me as I wandered around Eastport with Cody and Kristen to celebrate their engagement.  The wedding is in August, and I just can’t wait!  (I know, I know…I keep saying I’m not doing weddings anymore, but there are some families that are just SO great to work with, and I learned that these guys are one of them after sister, Melanie’s, wedding…refresh your memory here…)

Anyhoo…we started at Carol’s Creek Cafe where Cody proposed.  We worked our way around the streets and waterfront and just soaked in the beautiful day.

We decided early on that we did not want to be charged with trespassing, so when we gently used people’s yards and such, we did it quickly and quietly. This gate, for instance, was kind enough not to creek open…

Kristen is going to be a stunning bride…

Sooo romantic…

And we got this one on the pier by The Chart House.  Look at that sky…how long have we waited to see that?!

Mike & Katie’s E Session

I think we have been trying to do this shoot for months now…score a reschedule for each of us, but it all came together this week.  These two are easy on the eyes and a ton of fun to work with.  Mike wanted to start shooting at 7pm, and I said we needed to start at 6…here’s why:

Because Mr.Sun waved bye-bye about 15 minutes after I got that, and that was my first shot at 6pm.  Totally worth you guys rushing to get ready…  🙂

Like I said, easy on the eyes…

Now, this isn’t the real thing (however, if there are any men out there who think it would be cool to have me hiding in the bushes taking pictures while you propose, I would LOVE to do that!), but this shot makes me laugh.  Apparrently, when Mike proposed, Katies gut reaction wasn’t exactly what he expected (and I can’t write those kind of words on my blog, so you’ll have to take my word for it), so we staged a little reinactment:

Katie was really great about getting down on the ground, in a tree, and even on Mike’s back (sometimes when clients are so obedient, afterwards, I think I should have tried harder to see when they’d say no):

And a little Heather shooting thru the heather:

Thanks so much guys!  It was great finally meeting you!

Ashley & Rich’s E Session

I woke to an overcast sky this morning, but fortunatley no rain, so I was able to meet Ashley & Rich at Quiet Waters for their engagement session.  These two were great to work with…willing to do whatever I asked, no matter how goofy.  But it defintley paid off…

They are so in love…

We headed down to the overlook for some more fun…

We were all trying not to fall down a hill while trying to get this one…I think this might be my fave:

Thank you guys for choosing me…I had a blast!

Bryan & DeNeisha’s E Session

These two will be tying the knot in September, so we headed to Down’s Park on Wednesday to take some engagement photos.  They warmed up to the camera pretty quickly, and never seemed to be at a loss for smiles…

And sometimes they even wanted to make me smile…

But they are so sweet together…

More smiles…

I can’t wait for the wedding!  If the party is anything like Bryan’s cousin, Jessica, whose wedding I shot a couple years ago, it is not to be missed!  A VERY fun group…

Maria & Malik

These two are getting ready to celebrate thier first anniversary in a couple weeks, and to mark the occasion we met in Annapolis for a romantic photo shoot.  These two are terribly good looking, very in love, and very at ease in front of the camera. What a great combination!

How sexy do these two look in front of this pink house on Pinkerton Street?

Stolen moment….

It was so hot in the sun, so we tried to avoid it as much as possible.  But this backdrop was a must…

Gorgeous, gorgoeus, gorgeous…

Thank you guys so much…it was great to finally meet you!

Kate & Ozzie

Sorry for the lack of blogging…but hold on…I think I have enough to keep you going for a while…

It was last Tuesday that Kate & Ozzie and I met down in Fells Point.  There were dark clouds rolling in, and lightning in the sky.  It wasn’t looking good for us at first, but we managed to work quickly and get some really great stuff.

The breeze kicked up everyonce in a while and gave Kate that supermodel look:

Sweet moment (you’d never think it was totally staged and uncomforatble, would you??) 🙂

And then we grabbed this one on our way back to the cars, after I had put my lens cap on three times already saying we were finished…there was just so much good stuff down there!

I can’t wait to see you to make it official this Saturday!

Matt & Mandi’s E Session

After being rained out twice before, when the clouds started rolling in on Tuesday, I hightailed it over to their house to get these photos taken.  It actually turned out to be perfect conditions…nice soft light, a little breeze…

They had this funky, old wheelbarrow in the back yard that I coaxed Mandi into sitting in…

Then we headed down to the beach and got some romantic stuff:

After they got up out of the sand, I instructed them to not wipe off, and grabbed this one.   I think this is my favorite one:

Thanks so much for taking such good direction and being willing to get dirty and have fun.  Hope you had as much fun as I did!
