Dr. Aidan in the house

Yesterday I got to visit with Aidan and Caleb, who I haven’t seen since shortly after Caleb was born.  He is now 3 months old, and quite a chubby bubby!  Mom wanted to get some shots for Daddy’s office, so here is Caleb being a great sport while he is given a thorough once-over by Dr. Aidan:

I also love this shot:

And I got a few of just Caleb to mark his 3 month milestone:

And these last two are just irresistable…he is so expressive!

This one makes  me giggle…

The Rafter’s

It was the big annual Easter Egg hunt at Melissa & Andy’s yesterday, and the Rafters were out in full Easter cuteness.  It was pretty windy yesterday, so we used the red wall in their sunroon for a lot of the pics (which I think looks great!) Here is the Oak Family:

Sarah’s family (who we managed to get outside in between bursts of wind, which Sadie thought were hilarious):

Well, that is a little snippet of everyone…Thank you guys so much for having me out!  It was great seeing everyone again!

The Lee Family

My new friends, the Lee’s, are celebrating the arrival of the newest member, little Caleb.  Big brother, Aidan, is soooo excited he’s here…he loves to hold him and feed him and entertain him!  Caleb has an insatiable appetite, but we manged to get some great stuff in between him hitting the bottle…

lee04

 I love those lips!

Aidan was a hoot…plenty of good smiles from him:

And I love this last one of Daddy holding Caleb (he finally crashed out after eating everything in sight):

Thank you guys so much for having me out!  It was great to meet you!  What a beautful family…

The Barr-Sanchez Family

Nothing pleases me more than making new friends, and meeting this fam was no exception.  Isabella greeted me with a huge smile and wanted to show me all her cool stuff.  Braxton wasn’t quite as sure about me, but once he saw Isabella thought I was cool, he warmed up quickly, too.  Here she is playing a little peek-a-boo to warm him up:

Before long, the giggles started flowing and we moved the party to Isabella’s room.  And it isn’t everyday that you’re allowed to play in the top bunk, but it was working for us:

Here is Isabella, again, showing me her infectious smile:

Gaius in ONE!

More proof that time is going by too quickly…Gaius has turned one!  His family and friends gathered in Annapolis to celebrate…here is the birthday boy with Mom & Dad:

gauis05

Here is his beyond-adorable cake, done by Caroline’s Cakes:

gauis01There has been a monkey-theme in the Holmes home since the begninning, so it was only fitting to find it everywhere at this party.  And the taste factor of the cake was equal to the cute factor.

Present time!  Present time!  Open a present see whats inside!

How about some puppy love?

gauis03And what one year old doesn’t love Elmo?  He was so funny to watch with this hokey pokey Elmo…

HA!

Happy Birthday, you little monkey! 🙂

The Austraw Family

Elliott, the youngest member of this family, hit his 6-month milestone last month, so a photo session was in order.  He is sitting up on his own, scooching around on his belly…all kinds of fun stuff!  Here is the fam early on a Saturday morning:

You can see Elliott is totally into his feet in that one…

Here he is looking handsome in his sweater:

I love the look on his face in that one…

And here he is with big brother Elliott (who had to be torn away from his 4th bowl of Lucky Charms to get this):

Meet Julia Jane

Another baby!  I told you…this is what happens in January!

The Huber-Hall family has been using me for the past three years, and I was thrilled to be the first to photograph their newest addition, Julia (who was named by big sister, Morgan).  Who loves her sister??

Morgan is so sweet with her…she gave Julia her bottle, and just couldn’t keep her lips off of her.  She held her hand so gently…hub8

Congrats, you guys!  Can’t wait to watch her grow!

The Shaeffer Boys

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.  That is what my Grandmom always says.  Well, I have been headed down that road, full steam ahead, for the past three months, and today, I am coming to a screeching halt.  I promised to back-blog all of the stuff I did in October & November, but that task has become a black cloud over me, and I think I just need to make a clean break from that, and start anew.  So here goes!

As most years in the past, January & February are brimming with birthdays, bellies and babies.  2009 started with the Shaeffer twins celebrating thier first birthdays.  Here are Charlie & George wearing the same t’s they wore in their newborn shots (you can refresh your memory here):

Then we hit a wall pretty fast, and all of a sudden, it was nap time:

And who doesn’t like a little snuggle??

Thanks for having me out!  I can’t believe how quickly the year went by!!  🙂

October 15th

I usually have a very strict rule that I do not work on my birthday, but at 37, birthdays just aren’t what they used to be.  Besides that, school was out all over town, and my people needed me.  🙂  So I planted myself at Banneker Park in Oella, and my people came.

First was the Hendrick-Holmes family.  Gauis is growing so quickly…he’ll be walking any time now!

I love this red door on the Banneker house (especially when adorable, smiling, well-dressed kids sit in front of it):

(Side note:  Dear Stride Rite (and all other children’s shoe manufacturers), Please stop making kids shoes with unphotogenic soles.  Thank you.)

And a great family shot to top it all off:

Then I met some new friends, Bryan & Jen.  These two hot tamales were willing to do pretty much anything I asked, and they got some really great stuff.

This one was my fave:

The sun was working its way down in the sky as the afternoon passed, and just set the great fall colors on fire!  Love these golden head shots of the Wilking girls:

Thats just one of those pictures where you can hear the giggling, isn’t it??

Then the girls switched outfits into their tutus, and the cute factor went sky high:

Then one last round with Ken & Shannon whose wedding I am shooting in May.  These two are so much fun, and this is one instance where it isn’t me asking them to do weird things, it is Ken who has all the crazy ideas.  I think this photo says it all:

Thanks to all who kept me busy today, not wallowing in the fact that I am getting OLD!!

October 14th

I got to meet some new friends today…the Polizos family.  Baby Faye was born on September 20th and mom wanted to get some sweet pics of her and her big sister, Maria.  Maria is beautiful…dark hair, dark eyes…and sweet as pie.  Faye looks like she will have the same gorgeous color as her sister.  Look at the beauties together:

Has a pouty lip ever looked so cute?

Love this hand shot:

It was so great to meet you guys!  Congrats on your beautiful girl (s), and thanks to sis-in-law, Helen, for the hook-up!
